Hire me! - 8 unusual interview questions to find out who you really are

Sometimes the questions that
tell you the most about
a candidate are the ones
that are only loosely related,
or not related at all,
to the job advertized.
Just like the following eight.

1. What is your favorite restaurant?
What does my favorite food have to do with the job? Quite a lot, actually. Food is a very important part of our culture. In addition to having the required expertise and experience, it is also important for the candidate to be able to build good personal relationships with his or her colleagues. Companies tend to hire people who perfectly fit within the local culture.

Every job interview has three parts. It starts with the introduction, goes on to the purpose of the interview, and ends with the closing of the interview. If you understand the objective of each part—from the interviewer’s point of view—you can increase your chances of beating your competition. After all, someone will be hired. Will it be you or some other person who in the eyes of the interviewer is considered the ideal candidate.

Fókuszálj a karriercélodra! Miért szeretnéd ezt az állást elnyerni? Mik azok a készségek, amik alkalmassá tesznek az állás betöltésére? Készségeidet ne pontokba szedve írd le (jó csapatjátékos, nagy teherbírású, önálló munkavégzésre képes), mert az nem eléggé meggyőző, hiszen szinte mindenki ugyanezt írja, hanem az eddig elért eredményeidet gyűjtsd össze oly módon, hogy azok alátámasszák, rendelkezel az állás betöltéséhez szükséges kvalitásokkal.

CV

- használj többféle szótárt a szakszavak fordításához, oldalt belinkeltem pár jót. Ha nem találsz egy szót, kifejezést, gondolkozz szinonimákban.

What Are Some Psychological Tricks for Mastering a Job Interview?

This question originally appeared on Quora.

What are some psychological tips, tricks and techniques that I can use during a job interview that will increase my chances of getting an offer?

Answer below by Zambelli Sylar Federico, student and entrepreneur.
Mirror your interviewer's body language. This technique, known as "mirroring," is widely used in the psychological world as a means to gain an interlocutor's trust and make them feel at ease. Good salesmen often use it to increase their chances of closing.
By mirroring an interviewer's movements, tone, gestures, breathing pace and so on, you're basically communicating a message of, "Hey, we're playing the same tune here. We're akin. You can trust me."
Verbal language represents only about 7% of what we're actually communicating; the remaining 93% is up to your body and your tone — so prioritize how you speak rather than what you say.
Bear in mind:
Mirroring isn't parroting. It's not easy, and it's a skill that requires training.

The Top 4 Soft Skills That Candidates Need Right Now

When we speak about skills shortages, we’re often focused on the hard, industry-specific sorts of technical skills. However, soft skills are also crucial for employee success in today’s day and age.
This newfound appreciation for the value of soft skills is reflected in many studies, including one from Adecco, which found that 44 percent of senior executive respondents believe that Americans lack soft skills. Compare that to the 22 percent who believe Americans lack the necessary technical skills and the 12 percent who believe they lack the necessary software skills.
According to today’s leaders, the real skills shortage is in the realm of soft skills.
Soft skills are hot right now, and modern professionals looking to advance their careers need to make sure they have the soft skills that employers are looking for. To that end, here are four soft skills that every professional should master today:

1. Leadership Skills
The Adecco survey mentioned above found 14 percent of senior executives thought there was a shortage of leadership skills in today’s workforce. If you want to stand out as a strong leader, you need to be sure you don’t confuse “leadership skills” with “management skills.”
Management skills are the technical foundations of leadership, and the category includes things like the ability to complete appraisal forms, organize meetings, and use management software. What executives are really looking for are the soft skills of leadership — e.g., the ability to make difficult decisions, inspire one’s employees, and prioritize work.

First day at the office

First day at the office - brit - mp3
First day at the office

Your first day at a new workplace is quite important. You meet your future colleagues, first impressions are made, you move into your own cubicle or work station and you get familiar with the office space. It’s very important how your new colleagues get to know you on the first day. You should pay attention to your appearance on the first day too and how you interact with the other employees. Try to be friendly but confident. That’s never a bad idea. Usually, your immediate boss or an assigned colleague shows you around the office and tells you about the ground rules. Your hiring manager might have already told you about them at the time of your selection, but if not, make sure you quickly find out about office timings, office attire, break timings, leave policy and such. It will also come in handy if you know about all the rules and regulations followed in the organization.

3. A MUNKA VILÁGA, NAPI TEVÉKENYSÉG
In fact, I need some time till I regain my senses in the morning. Being a heavy sleeper, it is very difficult for me to get up. I always set the alarm clock and wake up between 6 and quarter past 6 on weekdays. However, if I go to work in the afternoon I can get up later. I never have coffee, but I like drinking milk or cocoa, which I make myself. When I get up I go to the bathroom to wash. I wash my face, neck, ears and hands in cold running water and dry myself with a towel. Sometimes I take a shower or have a bath. Then I clean my teeth, don’t comb as I have short hair and I begin to get dressed. I am always in a hurry in the mornings so I don’t have time to prepare my breakfast therefore I make it in the previous evening. Anyway, I am never hungry in the morning.
